I love Rautavaara so much, such a great composer. I find it bit sad that he never got to hear his last work performed, i can't wait to listen to this piece!

I'm so happy you got to participate in this, and glad that Rautavaara's last work has such great advocates. I didn't realize that Kalevi Aho, a great composer in his own right, was involved in finishing it. A pleasant surprise.

Reminds me of how Bartok didn’t finish writing his viola Concerto before he died so his friend Tibor Serly completed it for William Primrose to play

Hilary is from the same state as I am, and I'm learning violin! I hope that someday I will be at the same point of professionalism as her

I just had a vision of a movie being made about how both of your lives and work came to an intersection where this last piece was composed for you and Mikko Franck. I'm not going to lie. I was completely choked up with tears streaming down my face as you shared the moving truth behind this part of the album. I was listening to it and started quietly bawling but didn't understand why. Why did it touch my soul in such a deep way? I was a bit curious and came back to your channel in hopes that you did a video on it. And here we are.

Thank you so very much, Lady Hahn. Now I have a much deeper understanding and appreciation of Einojuhani Rautavaara’s final work. It made me feel like I've experienced a supernatural celestial event just in the form of brilliant classical music performed by master musicians. Lovely. Heavenly. Splendid. - a sincerely grateful fan (Smiling w/deep contentment and satisfaction)

Hilary: Was listening to your playing while I was cutting up a nine pound pineapple found at the market. Your music is absolutely wonderful to work by. It made the job go very smoothly.
I'll bet your music would be great as "Music to listen to music by" (Joke). Look forward to experiencing your playing each day. You are a real treasure.
