This can work with "die" up to 9 sides.
If you REALLY wanna mess them up, if you allow ONE die to go over 9, it works if you instruct them to take the larger number. It will work even with large numbers.
If they take the smaller number it won't work

it should work because its simple math.
((n1 + 5) * 2) * 5 + n2 = 39 <- for the video example
this equals (2n+5)*5+n2 = 39 = 10n+25+n2=39
balance the sides you get 10n1 + n2 = 14
since we use base 10 this format matches that structure of numbers such that 1*10^1 + 4*10^0 = 14
all base 10 numbers match this format. This could essentially also be done with larger numbers too.
