If the CC is used to purchase things for the business, then they are paid for from the checking account, do i need to record a journal entry for the expense then?

This was exactly what i was looking for. Thank you. just one thing if the credit card was used to purchase job materials, and in this example, job materials account was not selected. how would categorize the fact that the credit card was used to purchase job materials? or it wouldnt be and its just a simple credit card transfer.

Hi Steve, after I complete these steps, when I review the online banking matches, its says its a "XFER" instead of a Debit. Is there something I am doing wrong for it not to show as a debit? Thanks in advance

Hi Steve, thanks for this video. If I have already entered the credit card payment, I am not seeing that QBO identifies a duplicate transaction. In that case, I am thinking I should "Exclude" the transaction that shows paired, is that correct? Also is it safe to assume this feature is meant to replace entering your Card Payment as a separate transaction?

I absolutely Loathe this feature. Is there a way to turn it off? Customer service disconnected me from chat 3 times in 2 hours of attempting to get a solution so I gave up. Due to illness I was slow in recording my auto payment this month and this pairing creature popped its head in the door again. I think it's wonderful that some folks like the feature, but for me it is received unfavorably. :(
