I’m pretty sure if you look up scientist you’ll find a picture of this guy. He looks speaks and acts exactly like I imagine a scientist would. I noticed this especially because I don’t know what he’s talking about.

I thought the smallest thing in the universe was Joe Rogan?

The issue with the zero length point is that nothing can occupy a space which is smaller than its wavelength and that holds true for matter and radiation if we take matter as a wavefunction.
If it was possible to compress radiation to a point the wavelength would hypothetically become zero which translates to infinite energy. Since everything in the Universe is finite where would the extra energy come from?
Besides "infinity" cannot physically exist including the infinitely small. It's a mathematical construct.
On a related note, it's absurd to postulate that the Universe consists of an infinite number of points of zero length, width and depth. An infinite number of infinitely small points (zeros) is still zero.

But what if you cut a "point" in half?

What's the smallest thing in the universe?
We don't know.

I'm very uncomfortable with the idea that underlies the first part of this video. Is there another *possible* model that we haven't considered that doesn't include any of this crap but still explains everything we observe? Increasingly no... but hell... maybe we're not *infinitely* imaginative.

This guy gives, as to my understanding(which is nill :P), very precise answer that one could comprehend after couple decades of studies. Not sure this is the answer Lex was expecting ;)

so the smallest "thing" would be one of the constituent points in space in which anything else can exists?

Lex looked thoroughly dissatisfied that there was no direct evidence of an individual fundamental particle He was like, "Not good enough".

Do quarks exist?
Yes, we can observe them.
But do they exist?

Don't make sense to me, get an infinite amount of points in one spot and it still the same size how could u build anything with points.
