These videos are so helpful. I learned a lot. I would love to learn how to change the symbology using Arcpy so that when a tool is done running in the python toolbox it displays the desired symbology. For example, I made a python toolbox tool that creates a uniform flow field but it delineates it as points. I've been trying to figure out how to make the default points delineate as arrows to represent flow moving in a certain direction as part of the tool when it is done calculating the uniform flow field. The length of the arrows could represent magnitude of the flow which is discharge ft^2/day which is stored in the attribute table of the points where some values are large and some small. Less could be represented by short arrows and more by long arrows. The direction of the arrows is determined by some angle which is already calculated as part of the uniform flow field and stored in a field in the attribute table of the points. It sounds simple but I've been struggling with this one. For now I'm just trying to change the symbology of points to arrows lol

I wish I knew anything about GIS, this seems really useful. That’s kind of cool, so if I somehow “borrowed” someone’s Garmin watch, downloaded all the fit files, and then converted them to a csv format—I could then use ARCGis to see everywhere that person has been while they were wearing the watch??
