A young man who has absolutely everything…except something he can’t buy. He looked devastated, no wonder he couldn’t come out to accept his Conn Smythe. Many people were pissed about that, now seeing him I get it

That's the kinda passion you need to see. It hurts him massively.

Gotta love the passion, it’s only a matter of time for mcdavid.

Amazon missed a big opportunity to be in Florida’s dressing room after game 6. On the verge of collapse. Just thought it could have been even more compelling.

RNH is the silent captain of this team

That scene was crushing. Cool to see Nuge being right there for his captain.

Godamnit man… I’m a Canucks fan, but seeing McDavid breaking down like that is still so hard for me to watch. He’s the best hockey player of this era and we all see how he goes out on the ice and gives it everything he has night after night despite the immense pressure placed on him. I can’t think of anyone who deserves it more. His time will come soon!

Sometimes you have to lose to know how to win. The Panthers proved that. Now it's time for McDavid and the Oilers to shack it off, regroup and come back hard. They can do it!

i've really enjoyed the series so far, I love that they didn't censor it with a ton of bleeps too, actually lets you hear the emotion

I felt that. I've been an oil fan since I watched Gretzky lift the first cup in '84. It was a worse feeling than watching Marc Andre Bergeron crush our aspirations by taking out Rolosson.

There is a story where Gretzky made it to the finals and lost. And the way the locker rooms were set up the had to walk past the winning teams locker room and Gretzky was dreading that. He expected to see them all happy and celebrating but when he walked by it looked like an ER room every player was getting there ankles or ribs taped up or just in tons of pain and a lot of them couldnt even take off their equipment without help and Kevin Lowe says "Oh thats how you win the cup"

The next year Gretzky and the Oilers won and Kevin Lowe was playing through two broken ribs.

Mcdavids dedication to the game is bar down the pinnacle of hockey dedication. The Oilers aren't my team, but then again neither are the Panthers. Respect to him and his team for the crazy hard work they put in and there is always this season as the Oilers make playoffs quite often. Cele season is back and my family is annoyed with me hogging the TV!!!

I watched the last two episodes of Face Off since I am an Oilers fan. It was quite depressing, but well done. I remember the finals, feeling so anxious and sick during every game, the close sweep, then 3 game comeback then the eventual loss. As soon as the game ended my brother went to work and I just turned the t.v off and sat in the dark for about an hour drinking in silence.

It hurts to watch him like that. You know the man blamed himself for the team losing DESPITE the fact he won the bloody Conn Smythe. I'm a habs fan born and raised and am ambivalent towards the oilers at best, but I will never have anything but respect and admiration for Connor McDavid. A player's player and a captain's captain. To say he deserves to hoist a cup should not be a contentious statement.

After all they went through, the franchise records and other records, and milestones they reached, then to fight their way to game 7 of the finals to lose like that. And with a lot of Canadians warching cheering for them, with the potential to break the Canadian cup drought, as a player that would suck big time, this shows the love and passion for the game they have. Made me shead a tear for them.

When McDavid gets his cup it will be up there with Ray Bourque and Ovechkin as the best Cup lifts of all time

Man listening to the Panthers receive the cup after coming back from 3 games down and being able to taste it it’s so close, has to be the absolute most torturous way to finish a season.
