During this year’s CCAMLR meetings, attendees are enjoying a new krill display promoting Antarctic conservation, thanks to the Australian Antarctic Division. Krill are pinky-sized crustaceans, aka the ‘power lunch’ of the Antarctic. Krill fuel the entire Antarctic ecosystem as the the keystone prey for penguins, whales, seals, and fish. Changes to the krill population could be caused by climate change or other environmental factors, including human activities like fishing. We focus on the science to figure that out. #StandWithPenguins
