The CAPSULED ATMACA cruise missile launch from a submarine was successfully completed. The test launch was carried out from the TCG PREVEZE submarine.
With the test launch in question, Turkey has come close to becoming one of the limited number of countries with the ability to fire anti-ship missiles from submarines. The first official statements regarding the project were made by the then President of Defense Industries İsmail Demir in 2021. In this context, during the delivery ceremony of the TCG PİRİREİS Submarine, the ATMACA-Submarine's capsule was exhibited for the first time by the Turkish Naval Forces.
