This really helped me to change my mind about the game. I was so overwhelmed by those tiers lists that I almost forgot about the main thing, to have fun! So thank you!

For non-hardcore players, playing a meta spec is about getting invites to pug groups. It's rare to have a set M+ team or even enough friends online and willing to do keys that you can get in a group beyond a certain key level.

I'm a multi title holder rogue and your talk about not worrying about IO so much anymore is so true. I retired from title pushing last season and it has done WONDERS for my physical and mental health. I have a tan now (I used to look like a vampire from sitting in lfg all day long), get better sleep and have so much less stress and anxiety.

I fully agree with you approach. I also play since Vanilla and don't have the same amount of time to play nowadays. That being said: the sad truth is, that especially with limited time, it's crucial to not be declined for PUGs based on the "fun class" you picked. So effectively fotm rerolling enables you to really play more and not just stand in the hub city looking for a group. But all that would not matter if you find a consistent group/guild. That's for sure.

What a great video :) Thank you for articulating your points across so well! And you're right, just chasing the meta or looking at tier lists may not even be the best choice for your group composition, especially if you don't have fun playing.

Pointing out that people find different things fun is smart. I'm definitely the person who likes playing what's considered bad to see if I can keep up with meta picks, but ultimately I'll just play my favorite classes. Frost DK main with Affliction Warlock secondary, with warbands being a thing I think I'm gonna finally try playing a tank for once!

Best way to pick a main; imagine yourself spending all of heroic week grinding Delves on that character.

Class tier list mattered a lot back in Burning Crusade era. But they no longer matter after the Lich King era. I remember back in early BC era, everyone was playing rogue and Warlock, and in a later update Paladin was buffed and became the only plate armour class that was popular among players. After Lich King was released all classes became more balanced

I will main Guardian Druid until the next expansion. The class can do everything and I don't even need Transmog or Mounts
