Protecting infants as measles outbreak grows

Doctors say concerned parents can get their children the measles vaccine as early as six months rather than at the one year mark which has been the standard recommendation. As the measles outbreak in Texas reaches nearly 330 cases, NBC News’ Emilie Ikeda reports on what parents should know to keep their youngest children safe.

This is the stupidest thing. We haven’t seen this pop up for ages and now someone looks up some bunk facts on the internet and they know better than decades of science.

I wouldn't risk traveling with such a young infant either. Especially by plane.
I take meds that compromise my immune system so I plan to get a titer to see if my vaccinations are working appropriately.
But I might also just opt to get a booster immediately anyway.
It doesn't hurt to do that.
