your videos are so comforting. something about the lighting, your voice, the way your face is so full of peace... this channel is really helping me not be terrified of pregnancy and birth 🫶

I wish i came across this short a week earlier. I thought induction would provide me relief as i had a rough time with pregnancy even though i had no major complications.
Got induced and then had to have a csec because the induction failed. No words to describe the sense of failure i have been struggling with. Ladies please be a strong advocate for yourself.

I have 2 induction experiences. Thank goodness they went well but the 3rd time around i didnt let them induce me and had a wonderful homebirth on baby’s own time.

I resisted an induction, and am so glad I did. I was lucky to have the support of my midwives when I expressed that I wanted more time for a spontaneous birth. Baby ended up arriving on the planned induction day, but on her own terms. I totally understand why OBs need to take the most risk averse path, but I’m glad I was able to advocate for myself and my baby, and had read enough of the data and history to understand the risk I was taking.

This video came up in a perfect time. They did me the worst thing 20 days ago. Induced my birt and forced me in to c section. I've been very sad since that day and now living a depresing time.

I had no idea you could do that. I had two failed inductions that led to 2 c-sections! Now my chance at a vaginal birth is slim to none.

I was induced at 37+2 in November. I was induced because I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer while 5 months pregnant and I was having surgery soon after to get the tumor out as quickly as possible after delivery. Vaginal birth, baby was almost 8 lbs but did spend a couple days in NICU for lung maturity and jaundice. I wouldn’t recommend, but worked out in the long run for our family. Inductions get a bad name but it was the best option in my situation!

I was induced at 37 weeks due to medical necessity (gestational hypertension) and everything went smoothly thankfully :) It can also go right y’all don’t scare yourselves with only the possibilities of what can go wrong

I value your content, as said by others, it not only provide information but also a sense of calmness and confidence. However, as a medical doctor and someone who underwent an induction 9 months ago, you need to be careful how you approach this subject. It is not just that they end up as a “failure” nor that you can ask otherwise when it is medically necessary. And this short video can only cause fear in the procedure and mistrust in medical care.

I had a wonderful experience, not only because I followed your advice on breathing and meditation and talking to my baby, but because I trusted the process and my medical professionals.

My induction experience was that I requested a cervical check and the OB gave me a membrane sweep instead without consent. Apparently she’s known for doing this.. no one gave me the heads up so that was great. I had contractions right after the appointment and had my baby the next day.

My induction experience was the worst thing i’ve been through in my entire life and I hope I never have to do it ever again

Induction that doesn't work, you can go home if both are still healthy.... How does that work? I got induced last time (hated it, never want to do that again, but officially due tomorrow😅), and I can't imagine going home in that state... I'm curious about the details...

Or wait until both are ready! Stop allowing doctors to dictate when babies are born around their schedule. Check the statistics on how many babies are born on weekends. It’s gross.

Went in for my planned induction at 37+3 (due to high risk pregnancy complications) only for my contractions to start 10 minutes after getting there before they had even finished getting me into a room let alone starting the induction.

Is there any evidence or %, of coming back say 2-3 days later where the induction is likely to follow through as successful?

Discussing if only truely medically indicated that you would consider induction in the first place. Eg antibodies/uncontrolled GD/pre- E etc. Typical delivery recommedation is at term 37-38w for these conditions.

My induction failed & i was a healthy mom & so was baby. I was told i needed a csec because i was only 4cm and babys heart rate was dropping. Now im due in 7 days & i was going to attempt a vbac but my dr will not induce me & i am not even showing signs of labor!!!

What are your thoughts on membrane sweep? My midwife recommended it to me if I don’t go on labour by week 40 🧐🧐🧐❤️

I was induced and at some point during the induction my water was broken by my OB without my consent, giving me no choice but to continue the induction which failed.

I follow and love these natural moms and nurses, but can you also mention times that induction is necessary and maybe home birth is not the best option? I’ve had pre eclampsia each pregnancy, and my blood pressure has been at extremely dangerous levels. I’m so grateful for my care providers that listened to how I was feeling and jumped into action. Both of my births were great experiences. There are still good and necessary inductions🫶🏻
