Take a look at how UB students survive and thrive during the winter in Western New York.

This video was created and filmed by two students within the College of Arts and Sciences. This video was directed and edited by Emily Pumm who is a senior Media studies and English student, as well as the camera work completed by Matt Prinzing a senior Environmental Studies student. This project was managed by graduate assistant in the office of Development and Alumni Relations, Jerrell Mason.

Everyone forgot to mention how well done the plowing is on campus! Most of the time I didn't need to wear heavy duty boots because of it. Unless you pull an allnighter in Capen and it's snowing throughout the night, there may be some accumulation as you walk to the bus or your car. Nonetheless, most of your traveling can be done through tunnels and nearby buildings.

I was there in the winter of 1990, do they still have the ropes connecting buildings so you can hold on when the wind is blowing you all over the place?
