My dad passed away back in December 2023. He was a Toby Keith fan. He loved "As good as I once was". Ive been listening to a lot of Toby since he passed. Toby was a link to my dad. This almost feels like im losing him again. They even shared the same initials.

i live down the road from Toby Keith and driving by his house daily tears at my heart, HUGS to his family, loved his music and will continue to cherish each of his songs and to pick a favorite is hard to do, enjoy all of them. me and my kids met you back in 2006 when my boys team played his sons team and was able to grab a picture of him and my children which i will forever cherish. I grew up a Rocker in the 70S in Upstate Ny, remember the first time i heard Toby's music. He led me to listen to more Country. I had the opportunity a few years back to join him on stage as a Veteran and sing Courtesy of the Red White and Blue. Was an Honor i will never forget! Many prayers go out to his family. I have been in tears all day long. Song after song today, his voice brought me to tears! I loved his music as a kid and now my children love him too. I have loved Toby Keith since 1993 when I heard "Shoulda Been a Cowboy" the very first time. He was so very special in so many ways. He was truly, truly one of a kind. From that booming baritone to the songs he wrote and sang. He was larger than life in the videos and his heart and compassion knew no bounds. He had a profound faith in God, a deep devotion to family and was patriotic to the core. There will never, EVER be another one like him. There are a lot of good musicians, and then there are the greats and Legends. He was both. Goodbye Toby, thank you for the soundtrack of my younger years. Love and prayers for your wife and kids.
