Democrats and even some Republican lawmakers are calling for President Donald Trump to be removed from office after an angry mob of his supporters stormed the Capitol in an attempt to stop Congress from affirming Joe Biden's win in the 2020 election.
That's where the 25th amendment comes in. It would take Vice President Mike Pence and a majority of Trump's cabinet to invoke the amendment. Then, it would take a two-thirds majority in the House and Senate to remove the President and have the Vice President take his place.
