i started playing Minecraft round about when PE version 7.0 came out...
i just looked up when it was added and it was June 5, 2013... i was 10...

i remember playing in my enclosed block world on my kindle fire. just me, nobody else. it was simple, there was a wide river that split my world in two, and well.. being the scared kid i was i never ventured off to the other side from where i spawned, so i dug a hole in the ground down 6 blocks with a width of only 1 block and a length of 10 with a big chest and crafting table off to the right and a furnace at the end.

Eventually id make a room across from my big chest a perfect 3 by 3 by 3 room with a single bed. later on the mine i started was dug along the boarder of my world, carved against the invisible wall so i could see the entire sky box as i dug following a spiral along all 4 sides of the world till id hit bedrock, then carved through where i pleased.

that was my first survival world, it'd became my life's work, mining days on end, stock piling food from pigs and sheep, eventually i crossed that wide river away from the forest and my hole to the dirt and stone hills on the other side and was rewarded with all the sheep i must've scared off from my side of the world, i remember feeling so brave, coming from my little humble hole and venturing into the unknown. i miss it though. the excitement, the thrill of adventure, hell even the fear of bones clanking and those dang zombies that wouldn't let me rest, i even have nostalgia for the time a creeper blew as i rose up the ladder to open the front trap door to my home.

time passes though. as it does. and my brother plays Minecraft on his switch, I'm 21 now and sense i haven’t really touched the game sense the aquatic update, (which even then i wasn't really playing Minecraft other than the occasional time a friend was playing it and i watched) 2024 Minecraft is just unplayable for me. But, when my brother asked me to play for old times sake he built a tree house (to his credit looked great) and i.. i... well...

i dug a hole... in the ground.. down 6 blocks with a width of only 1 block and a length of 10... with a big chest and crafting table off to the right and a furnace at the end... my home.
