ABOUT ME

I’m 34 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city s a Police Officer and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 1200 breeding ewes.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on YouTube and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Since starting The Sheep Game I have met Lizzy and had two incredible boys Jock and Angus and one incredible girl, Bonnie. You will see them all on this channel!

Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.

I can't remember your editor's name, but she deserves props for doing these videos. The pacing is perfect, and I love that she put the prices for the auctions at the bottom of the screen. Well done!

😂 Cammie got the boys all wound up on a rainy day for his poor mom! 😂 best memories for the kiddos. Keeps you young Cammie. Poor Bonnie is gonna be a tough little lady with all those boys.

Those replacements ewes that you bought, are really good looking! I love the coat texture and those beautiful black & white faces💜. As a farmer's daughter, I remember well the stress in the sales barn, when the prices weren't as expected.🙏🏼

Excellent video Cammy, you covered a lot of things, all which are very interesting. Can hardly wait to hear about what was happening with the lamb and ewe. You have such a beautiful family and it’s very nice that you and Lizzie let us see your young ones and we get to see them growing all the time. They are all so adorable. ❤❤

Poor Marissa, it'll go away cold teabags as an 'eye mask' helps soothe it. We call it 'Arc eye' - honestly! 🤗

It looks very cold in Scotland I would not be out side in shorts, all I wanted to do was cuddle with a warm blanket when I saw your wife and baby girl 💞

I'm not a farmer, and I'm not scottish but having found your channel, im hooked ❤ I love watching your life unfold (it's so different to my own) and I love your sense of humour and positivity! I really wish you and lizzy the world of luck in achieving your own farm. You work SO hard, and Lizzy is absolutely your equal! She's incredibly hard working, and then there's your gorgeous kids! Love seeing the 5 of you in the vlogs. ❤ Thanks for sharing your life with us.

Great video Cammy and Lizzy. Sorry about the ewe its worrying to see one having fits, i hope you can get her sorted or find out what has caused it. Interesting what you said at the end about the jag she had. The lamb also im very interested in hearing about the pm, i hope it not a serious threat to the rest of the flock.
Lovely to see you playing with all the boys and little Angus with the camera there is going to be competition between him and Jock for it, you best get a second camera ready 😊 for the Jock and Angus videos 😊. It great to see the lambs you are breeding are improving over time. Those look nice that you bought in again from Billy.
Hope the weather improves soon, Cammy. Take care 💜

Great video! Yup I thank the person who made that covered area every time I see it. Loved the Angus cam! I still think your sheep look so much better then prior years. Those new lambs look terrific as well. Again.. you have never looked happier walking away from the market.. that counts for a lot! NEVER try and save moldy feed!! Thanks for sharing! Love from the USA!

Sandi has had sheep have seizures. Billy’s mom has seizures when feeding time is changed. Her vet said there was nothing she could do. Billy’s mom is a member of the Golden Girls loved by Sandi and fans. She noticed she had seizures when feeding time was changed.

Great video Cammy ! Holy Cow though that weather was absolutely miserable looking you could see how hard that rain was coming down in buckets! Beautiful Bonnie was so comfy snug with Lizzy didn’t have to worry about her getting chilly 😊so sweet ❤ love seeing you with the boys and now wee Angus is getting so much better with videos pretty soon he’s going to be doing all your filming for you . Those new ewe’s you bought looked like they were in such fantastic condition and I have to say I don’t blame the guy for not wanting to discuss prices on camera . At least he’s cool enough to allow you to film with him no problem at all . Appears to be a very likable guy. Thanks for another great video Cammy.

Didn't like seeing the sheep at the end having fits but that's part of farming, good & bad. The thing is you do try to do what's best, & that's right. Great vlog, lovely seeing the kiddos playing. 👏🐑😃

Such a great result so far on the lamb sales. I remember when you were hoping for an average over 100. Congrats, Cammy!

The sheep having a "fit" looked a lot like Ryegrass staggers which is common in Australia. I have no idea if such a thing exists in Scotland. You probably have it sorted by now anyway.
Perennial rye grass plants are infected with a native endophyte fungus known as Neotyphodium lolii. This fungus grows within the leaves, stems and seeds of perennial rye grass and produces alkaloids which can have toxic effects on grazing livestock. Mildly affected animals develop tremors but these symptoms become more severe when they are exposed to physical stress such as mustering and external stimuli such as humans, dogs, vehicles and noise. They lose coordination and develop a stiff gait or may be unable to walk. As the condition worsens animals may collapse, have convulsions and be unable to rise.
