What has become of the Slovakian Heritage?! This song and these types of songs don't make me feel proud as they do not represent the true Slovakia but an oppressed one! This style of music is boring and I don't want to dance or feel joyful, and they are corny and cheesy and all around Westernized. When I listen to this kind of Music I feel as if I'm at October fest in Germany or Hungary or Austria rather than a Slavic nation. I would rather listen to Russian music and feel my Slavic heritage come alive instead of sitting still bored to tears listening to the magyarized dances that don't give you any sort of rush or excitement. Slovakia is Slavic yet I feel the culture today is more Western or Germanic than anything else. It's like Slovakia continues to deny its Slavic roots like the Germans forever wanted as the Hungarians forced them to magyarize and Slovakia became Hungary or Germany number 2 and in continuing these horrific western traditions they still own Slovakia making us hate or deny our Slavic customs. Hungary and Austria didn't need to dominate Slovaia with blood shed but they did so with changing our culture disturbingly killing us off through culture. You kill a race or group of people by killing their music, fashion, religion, customs, etc. and by Slovakia continuing these terrible traditions continue to kill themselves through Western ( Hungarian and Germanic )customs. Western European culture is snooty and boring and nothing is very pleasing about it. No one dances or rocks out to Gregorian chants or Beethovan, or English Imperialistic music or Germanic traditional dances. I wonder why The Indian culture and Arab culture till this day can survive and modernize without westernize? Why would Slovakia continue to westernize in modernization? Ukraine, Belarus, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia modernized yet didn't westernize or dent their true Slavic heritage and their music you can dance too and get excited for and rock out too.
