IMPORTANT: Unfortunately, I won’t be responding to Instagram messages anymore. I hope you guys understand. It’s not an easy thing for me to have to say. Back when I first started my channel I had very little subscribers so this was something I could do easily but now as my channel has grown and that I’m a mother to two very young children, it’s impossible for me to respond to everyone. I currently have 92 unread messages in my inbox and that’s only from last week. I’ve also been getting a lot of rude and hurtful messages of people saying that I’m fake because I’m not responding or sending me message after message demanding for my attention. It’s been getting me so down and people have said some horrible things. I know how it feels when you’re desperate. Truly, I do. I’ve been there and it’s sucks. But please remember I am just one person. A lot of people are also asking me for medical advice but please remember I am not a doctor. I’m just like you.
I also have a health anxiety support page on Facebook that I interact with a lot. Just type in ‘Health Anxiety Community’ and you should find it. Lastly, I also do regular Q&A’s on my Instagram too where I can answer any questions people may have. I hope you understand and it’s never my intention to upset anyone. There just isn’t enough hours in the day. Thanks so much. X

I received a call this morning from my dr office saying my blood is abnormal, and need to set an appointment to discuss. Lot of things going through my mind after I received that call. What could that be? Is it cancer? What?. All negative thoughts running to my head. I did made an appointment to see my Doctor less than two weeks from today (10/13/23).
After listening to your video it calmed me down. Thank you, I really appreciate you video. Take care.

Cherelle I just wanna say thank you because last July-October I was in the worst place with health anxiety and now I’ve been fully anxiety free for many months and I feel like the biggest reason behind it is your videos! Thank you so much

I wish you had posted this video about 6 months ago as this exact thing happens to me. I found a lymph node and went to the dr for a checkup and my bloodwork came back abnormal. Of course I freaked out and googled every possible reason for this! When I returned a month later to redo the bloodwork everything was normal and the lymph node is benign! Thank you for your videos! They are so helpful! 💕

Wanted to share something with other people with health anxiety. If your platelets count is slightly elevated and you google that and read that such a result is considered to be an indicator of some kind of malignancy, don't worry that much about it. I read the whole study and it turns out that the correlation is very low if you are young(ish) and the count is not even that high. And even among older people with count which was twice as high as the upper limit who were included in the study, the majority did not have any type of cancer.

It’s crazy that you’ve made this video! I had a similar experience last year and remember searching your channel to see if you’d spoken about it. My platelet and white blood cells were low on 2 tests and I nearly had a full breakdown. I couldn’t eat or sleep and my anxiety symptoms exploded!! It was a really rough time. A great dr then explained to me that it’s normal to have fluctuating bloods to a degree, people have different normals and there are so many things that impact your bloods which aren’t horrible diseases - stress, exercise, diet, minor infections you don’t even know you have etc. It’s when readings are off the charts that they get concerned. Anyway on my third test I was normal and then on a 6 month follow-up I was normal again. Feel like a plonker now 😂

This is so true. Thank you for addressing this issue. I used to worry and it turned out to be nothing. Doctors do not tell us this.

My last 3 complete blood panels showed certain levels being and I thoroughly convinced myself that I had a rare blood cancer. I even started to manifest the symptoms. Never figured out why my levels were high but my last draw was normal.

Thank you so much for this. Even if my results are in the “normal range” I am not okay. Mine have to be in the optimist functional range as per naturopathic doctors. Yes, my health anxiety is very very severe. OCD! My white blood cell count went down over the last 18 months and I was convinced something was wrong. But it turned out it was a good sign. I’m just primed for catastrophe. Thank you for sharing so honestly. I feel alone in my blood test crazy.

This video is what I needed today. I’ve been freaking out and having a mental breakdown and terrible dreams after some blood tests results weren’t what I wanted (my creatinine levels were higher then I would like but still normal).

Oh my goodness, this was such a perfect video for me to see. I recently had blood work done, just for a normal yearly check up. My liver numbers are usually at the low end, say it’s measured with my doctor as 8-35. I’m usually mainly around 10-12. Well this last time it was 20. Which as you see is still within their range. However it was so much higher than usual I was SO scared. I called my doctor and she assured me that because it was still within the “normal” range I should not be concerned. She doesn’t see any reason to recheck. My liver numbers have never been elevated and I have had so much blood work because of all my ER visits she said it was fine. Of course my health anxiety sees it as a problem…..So I have to just sit with it and accept that it is fine and I am ok. It’s hard, but I’m learning to trust and move on. Thanks for this very timely video. ❤

Thank you so much for this video. I had a text from my GP saying to book an appointment whenever I can (meaning it clearly isn't urgent), but here I am convinced that I have prolactinoma, leukaemia, and that my kidneys and liver are going to explode in the next week.

Hopefully it's none of that. If it turns out to be nothing in particular I'm going to quit with going to follow-ups for a little while. A couple of times a year or if I genuinely feel unwell will be plenty for me.

I suffer from this and it's absolutely excruciating. For 5 months, on three different blood draws, my red blood count, hemoglobin and hematocrit have been elevated. It's concerning to my doctor so she referred me to a hematologist. It's not until april, and I am just beside myself in grief and have Googled and convinced myself that I must have some kind of blood cancer. If this hadn't happened on three different blood draws over 5 months, I wouldn't be worried. But those numbers have not come down and I'm convinced it's something sinister. Can anyone relate?

Such a helpful video as always!!! I have this a lot, I’ve been through phases where I got my bloods done every 3-6months, haven’t had them done since last august and have an appointment to get them done in June so nearly a year, then I’m going to focus on moving that to at least a year for the next time. But I had similar experiences my WBC is always slightly high, 11.3 ish and doctors are never worried it’s not medically significant and it’s pretty common for high levels of stress and anxiety to effect the white blood cells either up or down. We just have to focus on continuing to try and heal and not focusing on a number being a little out of range, our blood changes all the time! 💖

This happened to me recently, I had a full blood count done on me and it came back showing that my liver enzymes were slightly raised and I freaked out.

I had bloods done 4 days ago and got a text today saying I need to contact my doctor to discuss my recent bloods. I rang them and they said my blood results were “abnormal” straight away I panicked and asked the receptionist could the doctor call me straight away. But she said the doctor would call me in a weeks time 😳 I then asked if it was serious I would be seen sooner ? She said it doesn’t say urgent but just that your blood results is abnormal so do not worry. But I really can’t help but panic due to my anxiety 😥
