Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” talks to Douglas Murray, author of “The War on the West” about the war on western civilization, little known details of the Atlantic slave trade, the reality of police killings, the myth of Canadian mass graves, and how you can respond to simplistic attacks on dead white males and western civilization. First, Douglas explains why the threat against western civilization has gotten so dire. He explains how everything that has been beneficial about European civilization and its cultural values are quickly being eroded by people who only see it as an evil force pushing colonialism and imperialism. Unfortunately the proponents of woke culture don’t even know the basics of the history of slavery and how complicated history actually is. He also debunks the ideas of some sort of historical white privilege by sharing the realities of the brutal lives of white European mill workers. Next, Douglas shares data on how factually inaccurate most people’s ideas about police shootings are. In the wake of George Floyd’s killing there was a sudden distorted reality about police violence pushed by groups like Black Lives Matter. Douglas shares the reality of police brutality statistics. But it isn’t just a war on present day facts, there is also a war on historical facts. Douglas discusses the false claims of the 1619 project led by Nikole Hannah-Jones and the reality of the unmarked graves of indigenous children allegedly being discovered at Canadian residential schools. He also discusses the lies in the press concerning the shooting of Black Lives Matter activist Sasha Johnson. Finally, Douglas addresses how you can fight the war on the west.

I am so thankful for this. I'm so tired of being blamed and prejudiced against for being white. My family were never privileged or responsible for any oppression. My grandfather was a coal miner in the North East of England from the age of 14 raising 9 kids and fighting in world war 2. He doesn't have to apologise for a dam thing.

"People demanding money in retribution for things they did not suffer from people who did no wrong" Brilliant summary of the current cry-all culture.

My Grandmother and her siblings were put in the Workhouse in the 1900s. Several of her brothers fought in the First World War and three in WW2 two at Dunkirk, one a POW of the Japanese in Burma. Don't talk to me about "white privilege".

I have lived on the streets, I’ve beaten alcoholism, I recently got diagnosed with autism, I’m now married and in nursing school. I’m an Englishman living in Scotland where I’m regularly subjected to anti English rascist abuse. And yet……. I was told recently that my achievements are due to my white, male, heteronormative privilege!
Like you Douglas, I’m done with it!

So utterly refreshing to hear an educated, reasoned, sane conversation about all the problems in the world. Thank God I am not an island alone in my opinions, beliefs and thoughts.

Douglas is one of our crown jewels. He's a relentless defender of reason and of western culture. He's a brave man with an outstanding grasp of the problems in our culture. Defending our way of life and over the years his language has become far more direct and who can blame him. He's also got a great sense of humour. Cheers Dave, fantastic interview.

I could listen to Douglas Murray all day. He is insightful but also kind to those he disagrees with, kind of like we used to be just a few years ago. You don’t have to denigrate or make fun of people because they don’t have the same opinion as you do but I do believe he’s right in saying it’s time to stop being so tolerant. Don’t be mean, don’t be cruel and don’t make fun of people but definitely stand up for what you believe. He’s a treasure. And Dave Rubin, you’re pretty good yourself :-)
