Since I'm from Europe, it's so exciting seeing everything that is so familiar, like prices in eur, groceries etc😁 your apartment is very cute!

Welcome to Germany! I hope, you enjoy your stay! If you get the chance, do what you love to do! Travel! (Yeah! I saw your vlog from Italy!) But Germany also has so much beauty to offer! You and your boy friend will love it! Without knowing, what you like, I would recommend the Rhein tours. Or A few days in Munich. Central parts of Germany have their flair, too! If you like to go skiing, then Winterberg would be the place to go! ( If you don´t want to go to the Alps!) Have a nice stay! Hope to see your next vlog, soon!

Willkommen in Deutschland.
No matter where you are in Germany, I hope you will have a wonderful time.

Germans tend to be a bit stand-offish. It's not that we want to be cold, we just don't want to bother you, and we really believe in privacy.
If you do need help with something, just ask. Most if not all Germans will be more than willing to help you in any way.
Hopefully you won't get hit too hard by homesickness.
Don't forget Germany has 230V current if you have some electrical devices from the USA.
The high ceilings will help a LOT in summer as you won't have AC in most German appartments. But high ceilings and tall windows will help in keeping cool(er) in summer.
If you don't mind repairing the ceiling when you move out you might screw in a few hooks with "Dübel" (a fixture invented here in Germany). That will help in creating more storage as you can hang baskets, pots, etc from the ceiling. If you want to, you can even attach some string and pulley systems to these hooks so can pull them up to the ceiling to get them out of the way.
Butter: in Germany there are basically only unsalted butters. Buuuutt you can get Sauerrahmbutter or standard butter. Sauerrahmbutter is made from sour cream instead of fresh skimmed cream. Thus it has a slight tang to it compared to standard butter. Obviously any kind of spreadable fat is available if you look long enough in the right shops.

Sooo exciting! It’s crazy I feel like I’ve been on this journey with you for so long, I’m so excited to see you continue to flourish 🥰

Just fyi that's not exactly butter. It's butter spread so it's actually butter mixed with canola oil. My recommendation would be to switch to buying pure butter as that canola oil is really bad nutritionally

Have a great time. The apartment looks lovely. Maybe put some pictures on the wall, also maybe bed throws.

I don't know if you've already talked about this, but can you make a video talking about how you made the move (visas, etc)? I'm a recent grad too and studied abroad in Germany and have my heart set on making a move.
