I am thrilled for you. I remember how excited I was 54 years ago when I got my first apartment. You stick up for yourself, if your apartment comes with a dishwasher it should be in working order!

So happy seeing you set up your new apartment. I go to both Sam’s and Costco. I buy many things from Sam’s but Costco is best for organic fruits and vegetables.
It was great seeing your mom and brought back many memories of my mom helping me move in my 20s, 30s and now 40s. My hubs and I purchased our last custom built him 3 years ago and cried my heart out because she was there for every dorm move, apartments and now our 3rd and final house. It’s just feel complete when your mom shops and help you unpack.

Pro Tip: The best place to furnish your new apartment or home for free or relatively low cost is to join NextDoor. Where I live in Silicon Valley people give away very nice furniture every day for free because it's either a hassle to sell or move it...I really like that small balcony; that's a great feature. Your rent is way lower than you'd find in California.

Just stumbled on your channel! I know many of your move in videos are 9 months old, but I felt them to my chore! I just moved to DC (Alexandria) on July 15 from Dallas, TX! I’m a bit old and was established in Dallas. I got rid of everything! I sold what I could, trashed what was trash, gave things away, or donated to goodwill. I have a storage unit of what I kept but I moved here with my dog and what would fit in my Nissan Altima!

I literately did the same thing trying to get up and make a home. It is/was SO much work!

congrats on moving in charlotte!! i def agree with you on costco - even though we lived 5 mins away from one we never shopped there, so whenever we do go in i feel so disoriented and it just feels confusing haha. i hope you're having a great time in your new apartment, and i can't wait for all the vlogs/videos you're going to film in DC!

costco is very organized here in Australia... left of the store is electronics/house decor middle is clothes and shoes, and the right of the store is food products at the back is meat, bakery, and dairy.
