The crazy part is the zx14r ECU already has the feature programmed in, its just not turned on and the bike doesn't come with the sensor. You can buy the stuff to unlock the stock ecu and strain gauge from woolich racing aswell.

Great video, Demac! I'm glad the HealTech has done everything it promised it would for you! Much love and missing that Green 14 here in TN!

Yes a quickshifter is definitely the way to go for a streetbike..like you said alot of the other bikes come with them already like zx10, s1000, and r1 and others but those are assumed to be used on a track where as a zx14 you'll hardly ever see on a race track with turns for lap times.. however on the street we will use our bike 2 different ways.. cruising around or racing.. and for racing a quickshifter is a huge benefit, some think well I don't race anybody so I don't need one but the thing is it also reduces rider fatigue by not squeezing the clutch each time u shift if your in light traffic also it increases your clutch life from not squeezing the clutch lever in and out so much and causing slight slippage each time, just be sure to set kill times carefully and not greedily so that you don't have the bike pop out of gear from too fast of a kill time 50 milliseconds to even 150ms is fine depending on the rpm and load, some people get greedy and try to set it up for lightning fast 30ms kill tines and the bike will start to jump out of gear which could damage the transmission.. there's too many pros for a quickshifter on a street bike to not have one.. and you don't have to use it if you don't want to which is also a plus.. so it's a win win all the way around besides installation. Especially on a zx14r.. pain in the ass.

Did you have to get a power commander for it as well?

i got the dynojet shifter installed. also had to get use to it but got it quickly. and i love it. dont think ill ride another bike without a QS on. on racing it helps alot. i am scared though as you dont get it for a zx14r that it might be bad for the box. so i only use mine when going WOT. no issues so far though. also not so smooth as a factory QS in lower rpms but really nice in high rpm. how does this compare to yours? i might switch..

so basically the quickshifter is upshift, so does HealTech allow downshift?
