Taylor Fritz had a meniscus injury and an operation and took even less to recover then Djokovic. But he doesn't have the insane haters Novak does so there were no "fake injury" theories.

I'm a med surg float nurse who floats to ortho floors fairly often and this recovery seems pretty realistic to me. The modern approach to surgery is mobilization as soon as possible, first of all. And given Novak's age, health status, and as you mentioned the access to the world's best physiotherapy and rehabilitation, this time frame is not unlikely at all.

Impressive how far federer and nadal fans go to undermine djokovic

In 1984, Joan Benoit won the Olympic Marathon Trials just 17 days after knee surgery. She went on to win Gold in LA.

when he came back I thought "nah now Fedal fans will say the surgery was fake"... but then I realized how stupid that would be of them... and here we are

1994 World Championship Soccer in the USA:
Franco Baresi, defender and captain of the Italian team, suffered a serious injury at the meniscus on the second match, won against Norway.
He went through surgery and came back 25 days later to play the final against Brazil, lost at penalties.
He played and extraordinary match that day.

The whole world failed to bring his spirit down! On the contrary he became the greatest to ever have played the game. The King marches on while dogs keep barking.

Thank you Dr. Sutterer, there are so many Djokovic haters than cling to any reason to discredit or hate on him and you are dispelling these ridiculous rumors with science and facts. I'm a Nole stan, always have been so this is greatly appreciated!

I had menisectomy in Australia by a very skilled surgeon (used to work with AFL and Rugby players-A surgeon is like a skilled musician! He has to play everyday to keep his skills to top level!) It took me one day to start walking and I never felt any pain after that. I also did physiotherapy before the surgery but I believe Dioko did not need that for obvious reasons. So, dr Brian is spot on 👍🏼

Thank you for explaining it very well for idiots who don't want to understand it. The fact that someone still thinks he is faking it, it's absolutely insane.

Anyone who thinks he’s lying is absolutely re*a**ed. The amount of resources that would be put into “faking” a surgery and having countless people disingenuously corroborate his story would make no sense to anyone, let alone a man of his stature. This is the guy who has the most grand slams of all time, the most big titles of all time, the most Masters titles of all time, the most time at number 1 of all time, and the best winning % of all time. There is absolutely no reason in the world for him to “fake” this surgery 😂

1. Why would he quit Roland garros, when he was In the quarterfinals and won if he weren’t really injured.
2. Taylor Fritz had the same exact injury and achieved the same, he came back to Wimbledon as well
