545 lbs went up a lot faster and smoother than 535! Scott Herman and I are really pushing ourselves in a competitive manner to get to 600! 5 plates and a quarter is a big milestone, 6 plates next! Never settle, there are no limits!

Hey Mike quick question. I was deadlifting the other day at my gym and a guy came over and said I was really pulling with my back because my upper back was rounding towards lock out and I would hurt myself. It kinda looked like yours in the video. But I learned how to deadlift from a trainer at my gym that is a powerlifter just like you and competed in the RPS meet not too long ago in Jersey. The trainer said that upper back rounding is fine as long as the lower back is straight and not arched. What's the validity of that?

What you talking about?  That was a deload rep.  Can't wait to see when you actually push yourseld :D  /encouragement.

Also, even for 545 lbs, that still has to be one of the quieter deadlifts I have seen/heard.  Global gym and ego lifters problems haha.  Oh well.  Only hear them in the silence of my next song loading on my ipod.

Yeah that was bad lol you hitched the weight up at the end..that would not have passed in a competition...and don't use the excuse that it's max weight so form breaks down..that is not true...yes SLIGHT form changes can occur but not a total hitch like u just did..you get a ZERO
