Sometimes stained furniture can be kind of blah. It can look heavy and dark. Painting can be a good option and in this case it is.

You have wonderful design sense. It turned out beautiful painted. However if you had not painted it, you would have made it just as stunning. You cannot lose! Everything you do looks great. What is interesting about your designs, they are always different.
