Kangaroo Motion and Entry Sensor Review

Consisting of only a motion sensor and an entry sensor, the #Kangaroo security kit is by far the most minimalist I’ve ever reviewed, that’s probably because they’re a fairly new company. Based in New York, Kangaroo just received over $10 million in its second funding round, bringing its total funding to over $14 million, so I have high expectations for this tiny security system.

The sensors are both wireless and tamper-proof, with pet sensitivity for the motion sensor. #Kangaroo gives you the option to either self-monitor through their highly-rated app or buy monthly or yearly 24/7 professional monitoring for only nine dollars a month or $60 a year, which is a fantastic price. Monitoring also adds on text and phone notifications, an Alexa integration, and more.

You should retry this with the new kits they have, they are coming out with a camera aswell .. they have more than this one sensor:) they have a key pad, climate sensors, and a key fob thing that is called a roo tag

Hi!!! I live in Argentina, and I am interested in installing an alarm system that notifies me of my cell phone if the sensors and the state in general are activated. Does the Kangaroo system work without hiring the monitoring service? Would I receive notifications in case the alarm is activated?

Almost every front door has trim around it, this device isn't made to be mounted on every style of trim. I have rough trim around my door and it wont sit on it flush so the censor wont work.

I kind of dont like that th res res a motion sensor door sensor 2 in 1, because I imagine if you have like 2 of them on windows or doors in a room, its double notifications.

It looks pretty good, but I certainly don't want this thing pocket dialing 911 when it lights up because someone broke into my snack cabinet. Hard pass for me. Amazing video though. Great production quality and tons of details.

Kangaroo is crap the sensors have to basically be on top of each other work I switch to Cove and I’m so much happier
