Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky said the country remains "determined" to liberate all of its territory after Russian president Vladimir Putin declared the annexation of four occupied regions.

In a speech in Moscow, the Russian leader claimed citizens in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia in the south had voted to be "with their people, their motherland".

Mr Zelensky has vowed to liberate all Ukrainian territories, including Crimea - Ukraine's southern peninsula annexed by Russia in 2014. And he also ruled out any further negotiations with Mr Putin.

I agree with his stance on " no negotiations with Putin " ....Because Putin only understands brutal force

Then the people of Chechnya, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Circassia, Tatarstan and Bashkortorstan should organise separate referendums to secede from Russia.

The only things Putin has left to offer is anger and rage

NATO's expansion eastward resulted in Russia's expansion westward. What a drag.

It just shows how ignorant bbc is. Putin didnt annex anything and cant annex anything by himself, those 4 regions havent been annexed and are not part of Russia.
He signed a treaty with the 2 region that they wish to join the Russian federation, Donbas area, that he already recognised as republics before the invasion since they have proclaimed independence in 2014.
And with Zaporagia and kherson, their referendium had 2 questions, leaving ukraine and becoming independent and joining Russia. He recognised them as independant republics and signed a similar treaty with them to join the RF.THAT IS ALL WHAT PUTIN DID, HE CANT JUST ANNEX STUFF.
This have to go to the constitutional court to check the legality of all this.
Then it will go to state Duma (parliament ) for approval
Then it will go to the upper house (house of lords)
Then Putin (head of state, Queen) have to sign on it for it to become law.
As of now the 4 regions are still not part of Russia.

wars over, if you would have signed in March you would have lost 2 provinces, now you have lost 4, don't make it 6, or 10, or maybe your entire country.
