i been ford tech for 39 years and driven and work on tons f150s and my opinion the 2, 7 is faster stock vs stock.and i have owned both.

So many people saying the 2.7 "feels" faster, and that makes sense. You feel the torque, and with turbos, it all comes on when they spool. So, you feel ~0 lb/ft stopped (or maybe 50 lb/ft if you're casually accelerating), mash on the pedal, and within a couple of seconds, 400. The N/A 5.0 has to wind up rpm in order to make it's 400+, so naturally, it "feels" slower because it's a linear application. One punches you, one shoves you. The difference is, the 2.7 runs out of steam at 325hp, whereas, using that same rpm, the 5.0 continues on to 400+. All things equal, the 5.0 IS faster, mathematically. The quickness, however, is very circumstantial between a stock 2.7 and a stock 5.0 truck because of power application. The 5.0 does have a claimed VE of over 100%, however, which is why folks putting boost to a relatively stock coyote are seeing 75-80% increases in power.

Last time I test drove the 5.0 and the 2.7 Ecoboost, the 2.7 Ecoboost seemed faster to me.

Yeah no this is not accurate. The 2.7 whomps on the 5.0 in all scenarios.

Didnt have it in sport mode. Everyone knows both Ecoboost engines are faster at stock than 5.0. Still sounds good.

Should switch drivers here to even it out for real testing. I have smoked many 5.0Ls in my 2.7 but I also have 3.73 gears which is a help but it does impact mpg a bit. I never see over 20 mpg even on long highway trips.
