A good Steam page gonna be the most important place to market a game, that's where gamers are looking them. For marketing on social media I think it's a good idea to sponsor creators to show your game, if that's affordable.

I think another good way, and possibly the best way to get a lot of people to notice it, is to try and contact some already popular youtuber who you know would love a game like yours. Like I am creating a Terraria-like game, so I am planning on trying to get big Terraria youtubers to find out about my game and hopefully they would make a video talking about it then all their viewers will learn about and boom, famous. This may not work for some games if you really aren't sure about any youtubers that would for sure like your game, but I guess just like emailing a bunch of random ones that could possibly enjoy it may work. And telling them about this a little later in development could be helpful IF the current state of your game doesn't look too promising, meaning people's first impressions won't be great and the youtubers may not think they would like it. Starting with smaller gaming youtubers could be better for early game development I guess.
