Very common problem with all this units
City FM reception is good, but Regional FM reception is poor.
Do not use a FM signal booster, you will damage the units AM/FM/ DAB+ chipset

Solution:

1. Buy a proper bar mounted external antenna
2. Use a secondary USB Radio Tuner and Radio App... Some very sensitive AM/FM/DAB+ USB Tuners out there that will also offer other freqs

Did u change ur wiring connections? Make sure the main speaker harness is plugged into the correct harness connector. That should get rid of ur hissing sounds

Thanks for the review... I cant believe how messed up that radio layout is. It looks like it was designed for a different size screen. Was about to order one of these but not if it looks like that.. All these brands. Tried 2 pumpkins and the screen wasnt readable in most apps (waze, maps, explorer, settings etc) due to crazy over contrast. The rest of the unit was fine but whats the point if you cant read it...

It looks like you had "loc" that signifies local, which reduces the antenna gain. You should be in "DX"

get a Atoto a6 mine the radio reception is 40 maybe 50% better then stock 99 ford radio. but there is going to be some corks with anything coming out of china if it fucked up they just box it up and ship it they will box stuff with broken screens knowing it cost so much for us to ship it back that chances are we wont we lose they make..
