What are arrays used for in php - Learn PHP backend programming. Today we will talk about when to use arrays inside a website. This is something I was asked about previously which is why I decided to create an episode on this.

Hey Daniel, I wanna say that as a teacher, I really appreciate that you're really good at explaining complex ideas. I did wanna make a comment about this video though because I think it kind of misses the point of arrays. So, I'm still learning PHP, but I've used a really complex array structure in JavaScript to build an app and I didn't do it because I wanted to store a lot of data. I had other ways to store the data, rather that thanks to using an array I was able to make the display of that data automatic. Basically, everything in programming should either permit us to perform an otherwise impossible function or save us time. Arrays do something both variables and databases already do, which is save data. However, what makes arrays unique, I think, is that they allow us to manipulate lots automatically outside of a database. So, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the cool thing about arrays is that they let us use various statements that save us time (for example foreach) which allows us to create tables, buttons, options, lists, etc. on a page efficiently.

Hello nice tuts. I HAVE A QUESTION. Related to array, can you explain why we put html input checkbox name= "checkbox [ ] " . How those brackets as key can turn into value in an array? I dont get it. Thanks pal you awesome.
