Wagstaff - Of Beefalos and Beargers (Don't Starve RoG Playthrough Ep.12)

Autumn of our third year has arrived, and after finishing up a few tasks down in the Ancient Ruins, we'll be heading to the surface to spend the season attempting to tame a Beefalo. But will Bearger arrive to potentially interrupt our plans and cause other chaos and mayhem? Spoiler alert: Yes. Yes he will!

It's how you handle a disaster that separates the real gamers out, and you sir, are a real gamer. Just found you a few days ago through your basics series, and I gave it a whirl looking for some new tips or tricks to pick up. hey Sal! just wanted to tell you how much i love all of these videos :) the tutorials have helped me (and surely a lot of others) through their first worlds in don't starve, and i'm proud to say that i've just reached day 170 in my longest world haha. these play-throughs are so entertaining, and really helpful too! it's also nice that there's a sweet, genuine, and funny person behind all of it ;) keep up the amazing work, man!!

Nothing hurts more than finally being able to get bearger stuck between the pig king and a pillar after mastering Don't Starve but him despawning.

awesome series! recently I've been playing shipwrecked sort of blind, and its quite fun! excited for if you play it too. (i learnt not to tempt the murphy in shipwrecked, now there's a tiger shark roaming my world!)

i got my base wreck by bear doing the same thing as you did (try to get agro by getting close to bear).. after that i try on test map and found that the best way to get him out base if he spawn there is to drop food in the ground kinda away from base.. or if he stuck on something drop some honey and pick it up.. it will agro on you and start charging.. it will still smash a few thing but at least not wreck the entire base with ground pound

Also taming beef on SP look painfull.. as someone who like to rush ornery beef on DST there an item called beefalo bell there that let you bound with beef and its act like chester eyebone for the beef.. and yes u can pick item while on beef and it will follow you through wormhole and sinkhole

That low beefalo damage is quite unusual. I've heard its a bit buggy in singleplayer, and I suspect that the beefalo dealt the damage your walking cane would because that's what was in you hand. It might be worth a little testing, since there used to be bugs like that when the taming got implemented into singleplayer and I am unsure whether they got patched out. Another oddity is that the speed of the beefalo also shouldn't really increase withneither cobblestone nor walking cane. It might be worth investigating.

I suspect all the mobs fell asleep because of a mandrake. Either a pig, spider, or mole worm ate one that had been uprooted and killed in the carnage, putting everything nearby to sleep.

I apologize if this question has been answered already. But it's been awhile since the last episode of this series, and it's even been a bit since your last video. Will this series be continued? I'm a big fan of it so I would be sad if it won't, but will be sadder not knowing whether or not it will. I apologize if there are unfortunate circumstances irl that prevent you from creating videos. I just wanted to know when/if the next episode is.
