There's something comforting about Yngwie still Yngwieing. People are gonna miss him when he's gone!

Just saw him a couple hours ago in Plattsburgh NY and it was fucking awesome. The live sound was heavy the drums and bass were so pounding and the keyboard and guitar back and forth was a thing of beauty. One if the best shows I've seen in years. Just wow.

I love that he's unapologetically who he is.. He doesn't change who he is for anyone.

So what do you do for a living? "I replace the picks on Yngwie Malmsteen's mic stand."

Each audience member left with at least 10 picks

2 things... The tech who refilled the picks did not disappoint me and The music has gotten 10 times faster then when I saw him back in the day.

I've been a fan of this guy's work for 40 years. I would be devastated to pay to watch him these days. He rushes his work, and the onstage showboating is garbage.

I was the main soundman at Doug Weston’s Troubadour through the 90’s. Malmsteen’s WWIII came through one day. First off, he noodled at full volume through the entire soundcheck, making everyone scream for “Kick!!!” “Snare!!!”, etc. Later that night, during the final barrage in the encore, Yngwie threw his Strat up in the air. When it came down, it hit him in the head and caused a cut. His face turned three shades of red. He went to talk on his gold plated SM58, (he never sang), but someone in the audience had pulled out the cable so he couldn’t talk. He now turned another five shades of red. He was so pissed, he turned his head and hawked a loogie at the people watching at the side of the stage, hitting the tour manager’s wife straight in the face. A minute later, I saw the tour manager running across the stage up into the dressing room, and proceeded to have a full-on fist fight with Yngwie. The fought all the way out to the street. Later on, Malmsteen’s girlfriend came around and said she wanted to quit the tour that night because she knew Yngwie was going to beat the crap out of her.
He lived up to every rumor I had heard about him.
True story.

The drummer did a great job by holding the tempo, and the double kicks were heavy!!

I saw him this past Wednesday Nov. 13th in Saginaw, MI. What a show. I'd seen him twice in the eighties and this show was just as cool. The club was small so even in the balcony where I was it was like being up front at one of those arena shows back in the day. He was having a good time and when he talked into the mic between songs he left the reverb on which ticked off some guy. Then at the end of the show, after playing for a hour and forty five minutes and like more than twenty songs, this guy says to me "he didn't play my favorite song". Can't please everyone I guess.

Yngwie Malmsteen is a Stop trolling and seeking out his videos! Do you know he is one of the hardest working legends out there. Have you seen how many shows he does back to back?!? 6 to 7 shows that is insane and trolls are sitting behind their computers complaining Lol get a grip he is a Legend and plays better then ever and is selling out each and every show he is playing! Lat album straight into the charts at 89! Long live the legend!

Master of guitar Yngwie Malmsteen, 🤘👊🔥🎼🎵👑🎸🎸🎸💯

He was the first real shredder. He single handedly started the shred movement. Jimi Hendrix changed guitar, then came EVH/Randy Rhoads, then came Yngwie.

I grew up with Yngwie, I love Yngwie, he's laid down some of the most incredible guitar music ever performed, bar none. But I can't help but feel he's kind of "bullshitting" too much these days, the hand over the top of the neck pretending to play notes... come on, man. I know you're over 60, but as for me I still want the musicianship to come first over the showmanship.

I want to watch his 100% stage.
This is like a child play.
I understand He can do best play and stage.

I am just watching him throw picks and laughing my ass off when the guy places more back only for him to rip it off entirely. Hahahahahahahah I am weak. Sick shreds too

I was there. Didn't really expect much, but it was actually great. Yngwie seemed relaxed and as if he was enjoying himself. And he can most definitely still play ...

Cesar Filho plays more accurate these days than the master himself. Love Yngwie's music. If he would tour Europe again I would go. Saw him live in 1988 with JLT.
