You are the first to make a video about the temperature and humidity sensors in the HomePod mini and the HomePod 2

I’m kind of mind boggled that Apple is just now turning this on. But grateful for sure. Curious as to how it’ll look like with stereo pairs though. I can’t wait for the update so I’ll have a temp sensor in every room lol.

I’ve updated my HomePod but the accessories section still isn’t coming up for me to activate the sensors. Any ideas??

Updated everything to 16.3 in Find My Homepod Mini is not showing up, also in the Home app the temperature and humidity is not showing up. No climate view.

Great that this is being turned on. Working alongside the radiator mounted thermostats we already have this should give a better reading of the real heat in the whole room.

Great video Jon, thanks for sharing! Are the sensors also exposed in 3rd party homekit apps?

I updated my phone and HomePod mini to 16.3, but I don’t have temp settings. I saw you said it is in the HomePod accessories section but I don’t have that either. Do you know how to fix it?

I wish apple would use the uwb on the home pod as a presence sensor.

This is great news. I was under the impression it would only be available in 2nd gen.

I can now repurpose some of my Aqara sensors from rooms with mini’s in and have better coverage around the house.

I updated both my HomePod mini and phone to 16.3, but the temp still isn’t showing up on the home app after about an hour - any ideas?

Hello! Great vid.
I have a question. On 3:32 what’s that app? Black Apple logo in white rectangular shape kind of app icon?

interesting point @ 3:50, i’m actually intrigued to see how the 2nd gen homepods handle internal heat. the og’s started to get a little warm after a while of playing audio… but with senors included?

i’m interested to see how they pull it off.

How can I share the climate data to another house member? Right now I can only see it on my own iPhone / Apple HomeKit but not showing on others

Are they getting activated? Or are they already activated? Also, in the video, you said, remember it was discovered a while ago, that there are sensors in the HomePod mini, and here’s what they look like. That’s what you said, but then you were just tapping on the screen of the HomePod mini, so we actually didn’t get to see what they look like. Very confusing.

Both my phone and home pod mini are updated and no sensors showing in the home app at all. Some say u have to delete and set up all the home app again. This is so inconvenient. Any other fix?

I have 2 HomePod minis stereo paired in my room. I updated for the temperature sensor. The minis are probably 2 feet apart but on my home app says in my bedroom is between 33-66 F and 0-22% humidity. Why is one HomePod sensors are more accurate and the other is completely off?
