I just bought this amp. Ive been playing and performing since 1991. This amp is the best one I've ever owned my a long shot. If you're a distortion pedal guy you probably won't even need it depending on what flavors you like.

I played through one of these at Guitar Center with different settings than used in the demo and thought it sounded incredible. Used the trick of bringing up each eq level until it seems to "kick in" and got some really balanced tones.

Hot rails are high gain so no surprise with that amp easily going over the edge.

How much does it weigh? How well does it clean up?

This guy needs to have trained before he demos and reviews. He is not a good presenter, needs work. Should have used either an EVH guitar or a Gibson Les Paul or SG... He doesn't seem to be qualified to doing this type of review.

Not sure why this is a premier guitar channel review. Eq was horrendous. The guitar is out of tune and needing its pickups potted if they plan on using it for high gain reviews.

It kinda feels like he's making excuses for the amp in this review. It comes across like he's not really into it, but has to try to sell it anyway. I'm as big of an "Ed Head" as you'll find, but I've never been impressed with the 5150 line of amps. They're always noisy as hell and difficult to dial in. 🤷‍♂️

I heard tge amp and played it.
He does not do it justice.
Bad recording,
Wrong style Guitar for translating the Amp.
Its a REALKY nice sounding amp.plenty of volume and tone.
I have other versions of this Amp and i feel THIS MODEL is most versitile and affordable.
Its just a bad demo.

I dont think that the Duncan JB sound good with the Iconic...i use a Gibson LP classic with Burstbuckers and i think it sound way better
