The coastal town of Grimstad is located in the Norwegian county of Agder and is located on the southern coast bordering Skagerrak.

An interesting fact is that Grimstad is the closest Norwegian town to Denmark. The Danish town of Hirtshals is 62.5 nautical miles away.

The town is a popular summer holiday destination for Norwegians, and off-season it is calm and peaceful. These are the kind of towns we like to choose for leisurely autumn walks.

In November, the white center of Grimstad begins to be decorated for Christmas, the first lights have already been hung in the town, and on the day of our walk, Christmas trees were brought to the pedestrian street.

The daylight hours are now very short, and the sun is low, so the pleasant yellow tones pleased us throughout the walk, and we were able to walk all day until dark. And in the video, we will show you these pleasant metamorphoses of light on a November day in Norway.

On the pedestrian street Storgaten, regardless of the season, various shops and cafes work with beautifully decorated windows. In the harbor of Byhavn, many boats are already prepared for winter and securely packed from snow. And the white panorama of the city is magnificent at any time of the year!

Grimstad Church (Grimstad Kirke) was built in 1881 and its capacity is 1150 seats. It is one of the largest wooden churches in Norway. The church is located on a hill called Kirkeheia, from here there is a beautiful view of the port and the city.

There is also a beautiful memorial here - a woman with birds, this is a tribute to the memory of those who died in the Second World War and it is called "Mother Norway sends her sons."

From the hill, you can also see the building of the fish factory, on the wall of which there is an interesting graffiti with two halves of the faces of famous Norwegian writers Knut Hamsun and Henrik Ibsen, both of whom were honorary citizens of the city of Grimstad.

The Grimstad City Library is located on the shore of the western part of the embankment. It was opened on December 9, 2017, and since then the building with an area of 2000 square meters has become a favorite large hall of the townspeople, during the year various events are organized here that are interesting for both children and adults.

There are 5 hills around the city and feeling the approach of the sunset, we climb through the autumn Norwegian forest to the highest of them. It is located in the eastern part of the city and is called Binabben.

The hill offers a breathtaking panorama of the city and the archipelago of small islands in the sea. The sunset colors everything in pleasant orange-yellow tones. After admiring the panorama, we go down to the city to walk along the embankment with the cleanest sea water and enjoy the first Christmas lights of this year.

We hope our video will give you a Christmas mood because we always try very hard to take with us as many interesting shots as possible to show you different cities of Norway exactly as we see them and sincerely love them.

Как всегда круто! Но города Норвегии сильно проигрывают Норвежской природе :)
