Did you notice a difference in Spongebob's laugh?

He’s 60, been doing SpongeBob’s voice and laugh for 23 years now I bet his voice is lowering due to it. Fatigue could also play a part since Kamp Koral and new movies are set to come out.

All in all I think Tom Kenny’s talent is still present, I really like the way SpongeBob sounds in these later seasons. He sounds more sophisticated but in a perfect cartoony way to not feel detached from the character.

That's just the effect of aging on his voice. Sometimes time isn't so kind to the voices of certain people, and many singers and voice actors sounded a lot different in 1999 than they do in 2022.

I think Tom Kenny's voice has stood the test of time very well though, especially considering how high-pitched and fairly demanding SpongeBob's voice is when compared to that of Squidward or Patrick.

Still eternally grateful for how much work Tom Kenny put into voicing SpongeBob for so long. I can only imagine how strained his voice must be for doing this for over two decades, and with him getting older. He‘s still trying his best !

you know, i kinda like spongebob's voice now. it shows that the character is getting old as he goes on. it sounds like spongebob in season 1 episode 1 was a 9 year old. and now, he sounds like a 13-20 year old. it just shows that spongebob ages unlike most cartoon characters who seem to not age.

I have agree with all of these comments. Yes Spongebob has changed his laugh because of what they say it's aging. Tom Kenny voice of Spongebob is phynominal he has voiced narrator, Spongebob extras and also Gary patchy the pirate. Also he has been doing cat and dog and etc. I also can agree he is 60 years now . I don't how many years if he will retired from spongebob but can we all respect the legend one and only tom kenny. no one will ever play spongebob like that and I have so much respect to the voice actors so Yeah do you agree with me ?

This is a simple
fact of life, we all age including our voices - look at amazing singers who can no longer sing like they used to . Tom Kenny has worked hard for many years to give us a gift we will always treasure, he IS SpongeBob and nothing will ever change our love for that man ❤
