I'm gonna be *that* person but throwing your brushes in water is not great for making them last. If water gets into the metal part, it can dislodge the glue and make the hairs fall out or the whole brush to separate.

Guys I have a rlly easy way to wash sponges and brushes. So first u run them under water trying to get as much out as you can. Then fill up a bucket or sink with warm water, dish soap, and baking soda. Mix that around squeezing the excess dirt out of them. Let sit for 5 min. Empty bin and repeat but leave for 1 hour. After hour, dump the water out and rinse the brushes. I have done this numerous times and it is so easy and cleans them well ❤
