The same machines were still being used in New York in 1984 when I cast my first vote. I remember them well.

I remember my first vote in 92' The machines we used were very much still the same then.

They were still using these in the early 70s.

The introduction of new voting machines in 1920 was indeed an important step forward in our democracy. These machines not only save time but also increase the accuracy of vote counting. I believe this will encourage more people to participate in the election process!

We use voting machines in Canada too, sometimes though I think it is done my hand in minor situations. I once wrote in and voted for Michael Jackson as we had no decent candidates up here in Canada. It will be interesting to see how our elections turn out here as so many of them are so close to call that they are taking weeks to figure out. I hope the best person wins in the USA election as you'll have to deal with them for the next four years. Take care, I love you guys, love from Canada
