Ive always been a big fan of Dennis Quaid, as an actor and a person! I even remember enjoying his quirky movies like The Night the Lights went out in Georgia-1980/81, and Jaws 3 1983. lol
His best role, in my opinion, was probably The Rookie 2003. Granted, hes been in several great movies, but I loved the inspiration and motivation of his character in that movie!
It was almost the baseball version of Rocky in a way.
An unknown under dog being given the chance (and 2nd chance) of a lifetime to fulfill his lifes dream, and do some thing NOBODY, not even their families believed they could do.
And actually, my drama teacher in high school, Judy Leavell (older sister of Rolling Stones keyboard player Chuck Leavell) was in a scene with Quaid in the movie The Hill.

Haven't seen James in a long time. My one fond memory from years ago was when he urged Benny Hinn's church to shape up or ship out. He was the Voice of the LORD that day. The key to it all is our repentance of all known sin before the door closes. When Christ steps down as "high priest" before "the Father" "there is no more sacrifice for sin." This will be our Gethsemane. Jesus was called to die. We are called to live.
