I agree with your order of things. 1. Bus - that looks like fun and not a bad price for luxury. 2 - Plane - expensive and just a hassle getting through airport security..etc. 3 - Train - Nothing special here, slow and a lot of transfers. Thanks for the review 😊

Great comparison! Very interesting to learn in such detail about the different options available.

Golden Mile has closed for development into a new complex. Therefore, coaches have moved to Macpherson Mall. Please double-check for future travel as ongoing changes happen here quite often.

I would take the train or bus simply to see some of the countryside enroute & actually being in the city upon arrival. Of course if time was important it would probably be the plane option. Once again a very good video, thanks.

Just a heads up: if you're taking the plane route, another option is to take KLIA Transit to Putrajaya station, then transfer using the MRT2 line from Putrajaya Sentral to Ampang Park station. Then it's approx 10 mins walk to KLCC/Twin Towers.

Or if you prefer less walking and have a bit more time to spare, transit again at Ampang Park station using the Kelana Jaya line to KLCC. It's just the next stop.

Thank you for the re-release of this video. I’m all for the narrated videos now lol. Personally I’d try all 3 modes. If I had to do the trip regularly I’d end up flying if I could afford it. Or else the train. I don’t really enjoy long coach trips. But that’s just me.

Absolutely voice over for the future! 👍🏻. I agree with your choice ranking … bus, plane, train. That said, it’s a lot of changes enroute no matter which mode. 😕

We indeed desperately need HSR connection between the 2 cities, it's such a shame that they canceled them, it literally connects one of the richest cities and one of the busiest air route in the world

I have taken the bus before (twice) from KL to Singapore and while the journey itself was pretty decent, just be prepared for last minute stuff to happen. On my second trip, Transtar cancelled the bus I was booked on and while they made arrangements to collect me from the original stop at the original time, it ended up being annoying as I didnt know what service theyve put me on until 5 mins before departure when they decided that my bus (the one they sent to pick me up) was going to be the replacement service after all.

Also, buses will make sense most of the time but if you end up departing either Singapore or KL either anytime after midday or after 4pm (KL and Singapore respectively), you will hit the border crossing rush hour so the slotted 7 hr trip may turn to something like 8-9 hrs if the border crossing takes forever and you have to queue up with all your baggage with you on both sides (no leaving anything on the bus).

Love the voiceovers! Would you do heritage and steam railways??

Absolutely fantastic Video, really interesting and well executed and yes for the sake of one and a half hours the bus definately wins. This is a winner format, incredibly helpful and insightful. More of this content is welcome.

I totally agree that taking the bus is the best option for Singapore-KL. However, going the other direction, I would lean more towards taking a flight back rather than the bus.

Traffic at the Singapore-Malaysia border can be very bad, depending on the season. A couple of weeks back, I departed KL at 12 noon but only arrived in Singapore after 9pm.

Plane tickets between the two cities can also be very cheap if you go with a low-cost airline. It is just a 45minute flight after all.

Just the other day, I managed to snag plane tickets for S$28 one-way. The train from KL Sentral to KLIA actually cost more than the plane tickets themselves.

Will be interesting to see how long it will take once the (recently restarted) HSR between KL and Jurong East is completed (somewhere around 2030)

My understanding is that there will not be a train from Singapore ever again as they have closed the line from JB. This is a sad indictment of the priority some rail networks have. Having said that, I would probably say if I wasn't in a hurry, I would go with the train first, bus second and then the plane if speed was of the essence. I'm not a fan of air travel. but participate in it due to time restraints. Land transport is best option as you actually get to see the land you pass through (unless it's a sleeper train.. :) )

May be you should also include a Firefly plane trip from Seletar Airport to Subang airport.
