In Broadbeach, which is about 2 kilometers south of Surfers Paradise and easy to reach via the light rail, you can get a wonderful breakfast at the Kurrawa Surf Club. You do not need to be a member to eat there. I joined the club for a few dollars to get the discounts and to contribute a little to surf life saving. Their food on Friday nights is delicious.

Go back and allocate at least ten days to the Gold Coast. The food, shopping, sight-seeing and the beaches are all world class. It is big and there is a lot to see and do.

I got to spend a week in Gold Coast (there on business, for a conference), a few years back. It was great. I'm from Florida, and it reminded me of a REALLY nice beach city (like nice parts of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale). I have a couple days off and rented a car, driving inland a bit, and south to Byron Bay. Anyone visiting the area, I recommended doing the same (renting a car and exploring the inland area)... It has a nice airport with cheap flights to Sydney (you don't have to fly in/out of Brisbane).

You wont believe how large our country is..Think you would love the outback, and across to the west..Youve seen more of this country in the flesh than I have Gabriel, and Ive lived here 74 years!

Gabriel, you could have just flown direct from the Gold Coast to Sydney. Dozens of flights a day from Coolangatta Airport 15 minutes from Broadbeach.
Anyway enjoy Fiji. safe travels.

This has been an enjoyable series to watch as an Aussie. I like seeing visitors discover Australia for the first time. Visitors to Australia often underestimate the size of our country. You just skimmed a very small strip along the east coast. Love your evolution from not knowing an Ibis - the first animal you saw in Australia - to casually referencing it as a Bin Chicken and a pest. You are now an honorary Aussie.

Cheers from an Australian, Gabriel. Good to hear you enjoyed your experience in Australia. Great to hear you intend to come back for an extended tour at a later date. Put Tasmania on your list as well when you come back. Happy traveling. I will continue to watch and enjoy your travel videos.

I love this video you did of the Gold Coast. However, there is so much to see and do there that you need at least one week to see much. It is worth the investment in time and money. We usually go for two weeks to the Gold Coast when we visit Australia.

Yes I agree Aus seems like a clean well run country.

Gabe, your travels (India, Bangladesh, Singapore, Thialand, &Australia) are an outstanding success. You've seen more of the countries than most people who have lived there for many years.Looking forward to your Fiji episode. Best wishes and stay safe. Toronto, Canada

Hey Gabriel,
I've been watching all your Australian vlogs, they are all highly interesting ...so many cities, distant from one another, beaches, rainforests, even some wildlife, wonderful flore and faune...dangerous animals, like the crocs, or the box jellyfishes..snakes ..
Beautiful hotels, expensive food ..you're really living your life and you perfectly fit on this continent, as far as I could see.
You're surely come back to discover the west coast or inland, much more authentic for sure.
Thanks for sharing all these adventures and enjoy Fidji, before flying back after sooo many months of traveling but also such a hard work.
Best greetings from Paris to the best vlogger I'm following, full of admiration and respect. 👋😊🍀

Great to see Surfers Paradise nearly 20 years later. I either & lived there in 2005 after hitching hiking Sydney to Cairns. Visiting all the snail ku we places along the way. A month in W.A. & month around Melbourne area we’re all interesting as well.

Cheers from A Canadian in Taiwan 🇹🇼

On my East coast trip in Australia, Gold Coast had the most fun beach in my opinion. Easy to access and really high waves to fight with. Of course it has not the natural beauty like many other beaches, but they were anyway closed because of the box jellyfish session.

I enjoy watching your videos Gabriel. Hope to see future videos of you back in Australia soon. Make sure to check out Western Australia (Perth, Fremantle and the winery region down south) on your next visit. Cheers and safe travels.
