Winter Park - It's A Lot More Than Just Bump Skiing

Among the world-class skiing, mountain biking, and cozy small-town vibes, the best part of Winter Park might be its location – it’s not in Summit County. 60 miles from Denver, it’s actually one of the closest resorts to the hustle and bustle of the Front Range, but it feels like a sleepy mountain town tucked much further into the Rockies. With some of the deepest snow totals in the state, 3000 acres of terrain that include the legendary trees of Mary Jane, and access to endless acres of incredible backcountry terrain on the flanks of Berthoud Pass, Winter Park is a diamond in the rough, waiting to be re-discovered time and again.

Love Winter Park! I won an all-expense paid trip there with the National Ski Patrol (I’m one) for a photo/video shoot. We spent 4 days all over the mountain, and I fell in love with it. Not too crowded, great terrain variety, and the village isn’t too big. Had the best run of my life in a secret spot there. ❤️

I like Winter Park, but if that's considered sleepy mountain town vibe, I'm in for some disappointment as I try to visit most of the Epic/Ikon places this season. Started last season with A-Basin then WP near the end of the season but got a real taste for skiing so went a little nuts on the passes this time around.
