Most frightening theme in the whole movie. When I saw this in theater when I was a kid, the audience was frightened. It was packed that night

What a fantastic piece of musical storytelling! Ominous intro, the terrific reveal (in the original sense of the word), the drums of the hero theme try to start up and the tornado just crushes them back down into the dirt, twice. The tornado is unmistakably in control of the scene here, and I don't even need the video to understand that. Masterful music design.

1:22 to 2:12 the most scariest and darkest moment in the movie when the deadly F4 Tornado emerges with lightening all around it. Looked so realistic in the CGI effects. It also showed that tornadoes at night are much more deadly than during the day. Sometimes when I hear this play I tend to picture the past tornadoes that reigned terror decades ago and during our time as well... even the famous Tri-State Tornado of 1925 and the 2013 2.6 mile wide El Reno Tornado.

As a kid who never saw tornadoes except on television back in 1996, this scene showed me that tornadoes are the most terrifying at night, not being able to see where they are unless there is lightning.

Ironically, a tornado hit a drive in theatre in Ontario, Canada with this film playing.
