Tbh, I like that the designs for the more memorable trainers like rivals, gym leaders, elite 4 members and champions improved in detail. Giving them a lot of personality and style. My favorites are probably marnie, ryuki, raihan, nemona and of course our Boi guzma

Correction, it was Legends Arceus that first had most of the flying Pokemon flap their wings (there are a few exceptions like Gliscor and Togekiss)

Edit: As the first reply to this comment pointed out, Legends Arceus was not the first to do this; most of the GameCube spinoffs did. PLA was at least the first since mainline Pokemon went 3D, I guess. Unless I'm wrong and BDSP did that in which case I'm just gonna go hide in a corner :v

funfact, in scarlet and violet, charizard will appear standing normally on tera raids, but once he dies at least once he will change his idle animation to flying
