Scotts Bluff National Monument is located in Scotts Bluff Nebraska. En route to visit Michigan in the summer, we find places to camp in Nebraska.

Driving through Nebraska towing a travel trailer we didn't know what to expect. Imagining Nebraska, you'd think of flat land and cornfields. But cutting through the southwest corner we are pleasantly surprised to find Scotts Bluff National monument and free camping in Nebraska National Forest. We find a great one-night boondocking spot!

Very cool! I've been fascinated with the Oregon Trail since we played the original game in grade school.

NEBRASKA!!!! Yes! Our home state. Admittedly, it’s pretty a boring drive from the east side to the west, but Scotsbluff is pretty spectacular. It’s like foreshadowing to the upcoming Rockies. We’ve not taken our kiddos to the national monument, though. Gotta be sure to stop when we leave Colorado. Glad you guys enjoyed it! Thanks for your experience in our beloved state.

Never been to Scotts Bluff...heck I don't think I've ever been to Nebraska for that matter. Looks like a place to go explore, thanks for sharing!

Our kids played The Oregon Trail game a lot! Scott's Bluff looks pretty cool! So far, we were not impressed with Nebraska on our travels, but you found some interesting spots. Glad you stayed clear of the dysentery! 🙂

Thanks for the tour of Nebraska. I live in Kansas but I have always heard Nebraska has some cool areas to visit. Cornhuskers have great pride in their state. It use to be football but not so much lately.
