When I was a child, my mother gave me a Bowl of water and a brush to "paint" the walls, that always kept me entertained for hours.

My mom made homemade play dough for us instead of buying it because not only is it way cheaper, your kid can also safely eat it and not get sick (as long as they don’t have celiac 💀). The kind we made growing up you could also bake into little figurines. They didn’t last terribly long but it was a lot of fun to shape bake and then paint our little sculptures together

My dad used to make playdough, and color it with koolaid all the time- definitely really sweet looking back at it

Saw someone else mention this but, the cotton balls are probably a sensory issue for your kiddo. I know I absolutly hate touching them and the sound makes my teeth hurt. 😬

My niece is really into the pots and pans cabinet lol. She spreads them all out on the floor and makes her own little drum kit and just drums away on them. Her fav is when she can get ahold of a spoon to use as a drumstick

A very fond memory I have is when me and my dad would make homemade playdough and be kneading it for hours(in my little kid brain). Great memory and activity 😂🥰

We had a macaroni sandbox when I was young. Just a large Tupperware container with elbow macaroni along with various kitchen set toys.

When I was a kid I remember we made “trollera” troll clay in Swedish and it was so salty 😂 it is a thing!

A friend of my mom (she has 3 kids) one time while we were over made homemade playdough. I thought it was RLLY cool.
