The story of Jesus and the dragons was excluded from the canon because that was a little too unbelievable; after all, we need to have some common sense.

I'm 72+, thus have seen numerious generations including my own, come and go only to be replaced by the new. I've leraned that the story envolving Santa Claus for instance has changed dramatically since it's conception to the first time I learned it from my parents. Comparing it today to what I was taught is dramatically different also. If a story of a Santa Claus in so few generations, then one told for thousands of generations, can and has obviously changed.

Honestly, I think the only historic Jesus we're ever going to find is Jesus Ben Annanias, who was never crucified. The Christ is a legend built on a composite, like King Arthur.

After I discovered Santa wasn't real, I became skeptical of most claims about reality made by people. But it was my Myth and Symbol class that was the nail in the coffin for my theological beliefs. The idea that the stories we now call mythology, were once believed as fervently as modern religions, made it clear to me that modern religion is simply the mythology of the future.

Jesus as written in the Bible is completely fictional.
Every good lie has a kernel of truth to it, so I would guess there was a real person or persons that Paul spun his new religion around.

There are zero primary sources for Jesus, yet most Bible scholars (even secular ones) think there was a real person.
