In Australia it’s compulsory to vote. We walk in give our name they the election official crosses off our name when we fully give ID address full name DOB. Go to the booth vote. If u can shop u can vote. So lease shops so your citizens can vote. Love your podcast Governor.

I worked for the USPS for 27 yrs, eleven of which were as a city carrier. There are numerous issues with the mail in balloting. First and foremost as has been stated, there will be numerous ballots mailed / delivered to addresses that the resident no longer resides at. Some of the apartment complexes have such a high turnover that it is very difficult to keep track of who does and who does not live there. Most political mail has to be delivered as addressed. If this was to be forwarded to the individuals who have moved it will only delay the process even longer. Heck, people register when they update their driver’s license then move how many times before having to update them again? They can’t ( no, don’t ) even keep the license current let alone the required insurance so what makes you think they would care about their voter registration. If it gets to mail out / mail in voting there will be issues and it will be blamed on the USPS.

Mike, there are reasons that the mail boxes on the street are replaced and renovated. One reason is that some good neighbors dispose of their soiled diapers in these mail boxes and our mail carriers have to take the mail out of them with what ever else is in the box. This is somewhat a graphic view but you get the idea. So, thank you post master general for removing and replacing these boxes on a regular basis.
