I've followed eight different tutorials to the letter and still get "The application was unable to start correctly Click OK to close the application." I used regular Command Prompt and as Admin.

Also, the Environmental Variable process is different in Windows 7 so if you create a "New" one you erase what was already there. I was lucky enough to have a Restore point from two days prior. If not, who knows what would have gone wrong.

ive tried so many tutorial videos.
Each time i try and export my 5 seocnd animation it says the video is corrupted and wont save it, or it says ffmpeg has crashed

if anyone knows what i am doing wrong i would appreciate it.

your precise instructions did not work for me (win7) but I got to the advanced area to modify the EV's and could not ADD a path so I edited the existing path by adding a ;c:\ffmpeg-6.0\bin
and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the guidance.
